Nimisha’s purpose for anything she’s involved in has been about making things better so that people can have simple, easy, and meaningful health and well-being experiences. She’s been doing that in the health care space for the last 15 years through roles in strategy and operations across various types of organizations from consulting, academic medical centers, non-profits, and physician groups.
She has a specific interest and expertise in convening stakeholders and facilitating collaboration within and across sectors to design strategies and sustainable solutions that breakdown systemic barriers to health. Leveraging contemporary technology like mobile and innovation methods like design thinking is also a key focus area for Nimisha – with her colleagues she has had a chance to create transformative experiences for patients, families and providers by applying the principles of these methods.
Nimisha earned a Bachelor’s in Public Health and a Master in Health Administration from UNC Chapel Hill. Currently, Nimisha’s at Duke Health | Private Diagnostic Clinic, PLLC as Associate Vice President of Management Services where she leads and directs programs and initiatives to enhance the patient and provider experience across Duke’s collection of outpatient services. She’s also a volunteer coach at UNC – Chapel Hill’s Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship, where she coaches a group of 20 undergraduates each fall. She, her husband, and two sons love being part of the Carrboro, NC community and feel heartened to be a part of TABLE.
