Judit Alvarado

Judit joined TABLE in summer of 2021 as a Spanish translator and quickly became more involved with other programs and opportunities at TABLE. She is now the Spanish Family Engagement Coordinator and works closely with the Latinx Community.  Judit loves meeting new families and connecting them to resources, especially when it comes to a basic human need like food access.

Judit’s favorite TABLE story is when she immediately connected with a family’s story at a TABLE event. She wants to be very intentional about engaging families and understands that everyone’s lived experience is unique and valuable. Judit uses her own lived experience to connect families to programs like TABLE to help them access nutritious food.

Growing up in a border town in the city of El Paso, bilingualism has been part of most of Judit’s life. She is now a Hillsborough resident and loves her community. She is also a UNC employee and a mom of five kids, three girls and two boys. Some of the things she enjoys doing is exploring new parks with her family, and keeping her kids active.
